Tokyo Skytree
I went to Asakusa to see Tokyo Skytree.
Tokyo Skytree (東京スカイツリー Tōkyō Sukaitsurī?) is a broadcasting, restaurant, and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan. It became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010 and reached its full height of 634.0 metres (2,080 ft) in March 2011, making it the tallest tower in the world, displacing the Canton Tower, and the second tallest structure in the world after Burj Khalifa (829.84 m/2,723 ft).
The building which has an enormous golden structure at the top is very strange.
It is often colloquially referred to as "the golden turd" or "poo building" by many Tokyo residents.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! What a lovely picture.
ReplyDeleteI was there 2 months ago during my trip to Tokyo! The golden structure is part of the Asahi building - their whole building is gold.
